Job Description
Grata for Datasite is the leading private market deal making platform that provides comprehensive, accurate, and searchable proprietary data on private companies, their financials, and owners. We help investors, investment bankers, management consultants, and corporate development teams discover and win more deals. The role of Account Manager focuses on driving growth within our Strategic Accounts – primarily investment firms and investment banks.
The Account Manager builds rapport with senior stakeholders and partners to expand usage, secure renewals, upsell and cross‑sell, and ensure successful delivery of services.
- Develop and execute account growth strategies that align with customer goals and Grata’s objectives, aiming to grow the partnership through account expansion, renewals, and upsells.
- Identify, pursue, and close upselling and cross‑selling opportunities within the territory.
- Expand the use of Grata beyond current user groups by identifying and closing new user groups within customers.
- Lead commercial negotiations in the territory for renewals, upsells, and new contracts, ensuring favorable terms.
- Build lasting relationships with decision makers, tailoring interactions across in‑person, video call, email, and phone.
- Maintain up‑to‑date client organizational maps including leadership, influencers, and key decision makers.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and provide feedback to cross‑functional teams to improve the platform.
- Consistently exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- 3–5 years of experience in a customer‑facing role with demonstrable success managing renewals and upsells.
- Experience managing strategic/enterprise level accounts and customers across different product lines.
- Commercially oriented mindset with emphasis on contract renewal and negotiation of mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Ability to work in a feedback‑driven environment, share ideas, seek opportunities for improvement, and contribute to growth.
- Innovative, persuasive, creative, and curious about clients’ businesses; goal‑oriented, optimistic, and proactive.
- Well‑organized, detail oriented, and a resourceful problem solver capable of managing multiple work streams.
- Self‑starter who can develop, establish, and organize daily activities as an independent contributor.
