Location: Hybrid (2-3 days pw in NYC) with travel as required

The Opportunity

Our client is a global leader in apparel sourcing, product development and supply chain solutions, partnering with many of the world's best-known fashion and lifestyle brands.

They are looking for two Director of Sales to lead the commercial growth of an exciting portfolio of licensed apparel brands across

1.
Ready-to-Wear and

2. Swimwear, Outerwear and Sleepwear

This is a high-impact role responsible for expanding distribution, strengthening strategic retail partnerships and delivering profitable sales growth across department stores, specialty retailers and off-price channels.

Working closely with licensors, design, merchandising and product development teams, you will help shape commercial strategy, identify new market opportunities and build long-term partnerships with some of North America's leading retailers.

About You

You'll be an experienced apparel sales leader with an established network across US retail and a proven ability to grow licensed apparel businesses.

We're looking for someone with:

  • 8+ years' experience in apparel wholesale sales
  • Proven ownership of major retail accounts with responsibility for significant annual revenue
  • Strong relationships across department stores, specialty retailers and off-price channels
  • Experience selling either Ready-to-Wear OR Swimwear, Outerwear, Sleepwear
  • Experience working with licensed brands and brand partners
  • Excellent commercial acumen with strong forecasting, planning and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated success developing new business while growing existing accounts
  • Outstanding presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related discipline preferred
Key Retail Relationships

Experience working with retailers such as:

  • Nordstrom
  • Macy's
  • Bloomingdale's
  • Nordstrom Rack
  • TJ Maxx
  • Ross
  • Burlington
  • Bealls

and other leading department store, specialty and off-price retailers.
