Scope

The ideal Franchise Sales Consultant will identify prospective franchise purchasers, help them understand the Brightway model, qualify them and close the sale with a signed contract. Help drive our sales and grow the business within the Franchise Sales department. You will be the external face of Brightway and directly responsible for adding franchises and growing our Brightway business.

Job Responsibilities
  • Understand the business, the profile of a successful franchisee, and our sales process; identify, work with, and manage potential sources of franchisees.
  • Learn and apply the Brightway value proposition, organization, and supporting shared services and teams that directly impact conversations with prospects, generating opportunities to secure new contracts.
  • Initiate and execute outbound prospecting and communication strategies, focusing on captive agents and IA agent producers/owners, as well as producers in targeted geographic areas.
  • Proactively make outbound calls or send emails to prospects to sell company features and benefits.
  • Identify and re‑engage current dormant prospect opportunities, providing timely disposition of timing considerations and focusing on states where we have a stronger market alignment and a deep understanding of market dynamics.
  • Cultivate a positive relationship with current franchisees, using them as references for potential franchisees as appropriate.
  • Manage ongoing workload effectively and efficiently using strong organizational skills; develop calendars and checklists for certain ongoing work.
  • Regularly check email and other systems through which work is requested.
  • Document activities and follow‑up in appropriate systems regularly and accurately.
  • Document processes followed to ensure tasks can be replicated accurately.
  • Maintain a process and procedure manual for the area.
  • Proactively identify process improvements that make the department more efficient and effective.
  • Listen to and incorporate feedback.
  • Work as part of a team, ensuring work is complementary and not duplicative or conflicting.
Skills, Licenses, Certifications
  • Expert in consultative selling and a proven track record of closing complex deals.
  • Superior understanding of the Brightway model and how current franchisees are leveraging it.
  • Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy; exceptional attention to detail.
  • Superior customer service mindset; a desire and ability to deliver a high level of satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); comfort with Salesforce and other CRM systems.
  • Superior interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to cold call and conduct B2B sales.
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Insurance P&C knowledge a plus but not required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Excellent independent judgment and decision making.
  • Understanding of Brightway systems; regularly update activities accurately.
  • Ability to learn, embrace, and apply new concepts and skills.
  • Superior ability to manage own time, activities, and resources; model behavior for others.
