Job Description & How to Apply Below
About the Role
Our client is a mission-driven, early-stage mental health startup dedicated to connecting students with the therapy they need, utilizing the insurance they already have. They are expanding their footprint across New York and are looking for an Account Executive to build meaningful relationships with school counselors, principals, and district administrators.
Every school partnership you secure translates directly to more children receiving timely mental health care. If you are an empathetic, resilient relationship-builder who thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment, this full-cycle sales role is your opportunity to drive massive real-world impact.
What You Will Do- Drive outbound prospecting, run compelling product demos, and close school partnerships. Deals are highly velocity-driven, typically closing within 1 to 2 calls.
- Manage a high-volume book of approximately 150 schools across your territory, generating consistent student referrals and nurturing long-term administrator relationships.
- Dedicate your mornings (8:30 AM – 2:30 PM) to school-facing meetings and heavy outbound outreach (booking meetings with a target 50% conversion rate from cold calls). Spend afternoons managing follow-ups, updating Salesforce, and planning next-day strategies.
- Meet with school counselors and social workers in person. Expect up to 25% regional travel as new markets open up.
- Bring critical field insights back to the product, marketing, and leadership teams to actively sharpen our client s evolving go-to-market strategy.
- 1 to 4 years of experience in full-cycle B2B sales, with a documented history of consistent 100%+ quota attainment.
- You know how to operate without a rigid corporate playbook and can comfortably navigate ambiguity.
- Direct experience selling into K-12 schools, districts, or education-adjacent buyers.
- Experience managing and closing sales cycles that typically resolve within 2 months.
- You build trust with deep empathy, leading with relationships over transactional wins, and possess a genuine passion for youth mental health.
- Based in the NYC area, ready to work hybrid in-office 3 days a week (Mon/Tue/Thu), and open to 25% travel for school visits.
