Americas Sales Director OverviewSalary: $100,000–$120,000
Your Mission:
- Develop and execute the wholesale sales strategy across the Americas to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share objectives.
- Partner closely with the Wholesale Director to define regional commercial priorities, review business performance, and identify strategic growth opportunities across North, Central, and South America.
- Develop annual business plans, seasonal sales strategies, financial forecasts, and sales budgets by account, market, and product category, ensuring alignment with the brand's commercial objectives.
- Build, manage, and strengthen relationships with key department stores, specialty retailers, distributors, franchise partners, and digital accounts across the Americas.
- Drive regional business development by identifying, negotiating, and securing new wholesale partnerships aligned with the brand's long‑term growth strategy.
- Lead seasonal market appointments alongside the Wholesale Director, presenting collections, negotiating assortments, pricing, commercial terms, and seasonal buying plans with key accounts.
- Monitor and analyse sales performance, sell‑through, inventory levels, margins, and market trends, implementing action plans to maximise commercial performance and minimise business risk.
- Review customer buying budgets and provide strategic recommendations to optimise sales productivity, profitability, and inventory management.
- Prepare seasonal business reviews, sales reports, forecasts, and commercial presentations for senior leadership.
- Collaborate closely with Merchandising, Product, Marketing, Retail, Visual Merchandising, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to ensure the successful execution of regional commercial strategies.
- Partner with the Visual Merchandising and Retail Excellence teams to ensure consistent brand presentation and an elevated customer experience across all wholesale points of sale.
- Support wholesale partners through product knowledge, commercial guidance, and training initiatives to strengthen brand positioning and improve sell‑through performance.
- Monitor competitor activity, consumer trends, and market developments to identify opportunities for business growth and assortment optimisation.
- Oversee new wholesale openings, relocations, and strategic expansion projects across the Americas.
- Represent the brand at seasonal showrooms, customer meetings, industry events, and regional market visits, acting as a key commercial ambassador for the business.
Your Talent:
- Extensive experience within a fast‑paced, consumer‑focused retail environment.
- In‑depth knowledge of the luxury retail wholesale market, including trends, pricing, wholesale structures, and distribution channels.
- Experience working in a cross‑functional matrix in a large global business while working autonomously.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills with a track record of closing deals and building long‑term partnerships.
- Effective leadership skills, inspiring and motivating a team to deliver exceptional results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, interacting confidently with clients, stakeholders, and team members at all levels.
- Analytical mindset to interpret data, generate actionable insights, and make strategic decisions.
- Attention to detail, strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, and ability to prioritise tasks and identify quick wins.
- Experience working with accounts in the Americas (required).
- Trusted individual who can handle confidential information with tact and diplomacy.
- Advanced software skills (Excel) and familiarity with sales forecasting and inventory management tools.
- Resilience, results‑oriented mindset, and drive to achieve targets and exceed expectations.
- Fluency in English; other languages are desirable.
- Flexibility to travel as part of the role.
