Job title: Founding Enterprise Account Executive
Comp: Up to $150K Base / $300K OTE, Uncapped
Location: New York City Hybrid, 3-4 days per week
Industry: GRC / Cybersecurity / Compliance Automation / Enterprise SaaS
Our client is a fast-growing global SaaS company transforming how organisations achieve and maintain security and regulatory compliance.
Its AI-powered platform automates more than 60 compliance frameworks, including SOC 2, ISO 27001, SOX ITGC, GDPR, and PCI DSS. Through intelligent automation, continuous monitoring, and real-time insights, the platform helps businesses reduce manual work, identify compliance gaps, and remain continuously audit-ready.
The company has approximately 200 employees globally and an established presence in the US, with around 150 American customers already contributing a meaningful proportion of its revenue.
As the US becomes its most important expansion market, the business is hiring its first senior salesperson on the ground in New York.
This is a hands-on individual contributor role for a high-energy new-business seller who wants to build, execute, and influence rather than inherit an established sales process.
You will work directly with the CEO and VP of Sales to grow enterprise revenue, generate pipeline, refine the US sales motion, and help lay the foundations for the company’s future commercial team.
What the role looks like:- Own the full sales cycle from outbound prospecting through negotiation and close
- Build enterprise pipeline across the US through outbound activity, events, networking, and partnerships
- Sell an AI-powered GRC and compliance platform to CISOs, CIOs, security teams, and technical stakeholders
- Lead consultative, multi-stakeholder sales processes with typical cycles of three to six months
- Win new enterprise customers and develop early lighthouse accounts
- Adapt messaging, positioning, and sales strategy for US buyers
- Identify priority market segments, target accounts, and ideal customer profiles
- Test and validate new growth channels, including strategic partnerships
- Provide feedback on product, pricing, competitors, and market requirements
- Build repeatable sales processes that can support future AEs and SDRs
- Work closely with senior leadership while operating independently in the US market
The role will receive some inbound support, but candidates should approach it as a predominantly outbound, self-generated sales position.
What they’re looking for:- 4+ years of successful SaaS Account Executive experience
- Proven track record of generating pipeline and closing new-logo business
- Experience selling to CISOs, CIOs, security teams, or other technical buyers
- Background in GRC, cybersecurity, compliance, risk, or a closely related SaaS category
- Consistent quota attainment with clear evidence of strong sales performance
- Experience working within an early-stage, high-growth, or entrepreneurial environment
- Ability to independently manage the full sales cycle from first contact through close
- Strong commercial judgement and the ability to contribute to go-to-market strategy
- A hands-on builder mentality and comfort operating with limited structure
- Strong communication skills and executive presence
- Stable career history with evidence of progression and sustained achievement
This role is best suited to an ambitious individual contributor who remains motivated by hunting, building pipeline, and closing business.
It is not designed for someone primarily looking to move into a senior sales management position. However, as the US team expands, there may be an opportunity to support and lead future SDR hires.
Why it’s interesting:The security and compliance market continues to grow, but many companies still manage complex frameworks through manual processes, spreadsheets, consultants, and disconnected systems.
Our client has built an established global platform that combines automation, AI-driven insights, continuous monitoring, and specialist compliance support.
The company is not entering the US market from zero. It already serves approximately 150 US customers, which account for around 20% of global revenue. This hire will be responsible for building on that foundation and…
