Key Account Rep

Job Description

We are the US division of, and sole distributor for a major French luxury stationery, gift, and fine art supply manufacturer. We are currently looking for a take‑charge Key Account Salesperson to work both remotely and in our midtown Manhattan office.

Specifically, we need an energetic and enthusiastic self‑starter who will:

• Maintain and grow our wholesale business with current big box retailers, e‑commerce sellers, as well as major industry distributors.
• Develop, strengthen, and maintain relationships with retail/wholesale buying teams and management.
• Develop new business via trade shows, market appointments, and cold contacts.

The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

• Minimum 4 years of wholesale account management or retail buying experience and ability to interface with management from high-volume, ‘big box’ retailers such as Blick, Michael’s, Barne’s & Noble, etc.
• Experience working with independent Amazon and e‑commerce sellers.
• Ability to understand customer objectives.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with experience presenting new products and retail programs to chain stores.
• Solid understanding of retail math.
• Self‑motivated with strong organizational skills.
• Excel proficiency.
• Flexible enough to work 2-3 weekends a year, representing us at national trade shows.
• Some domestic travel required.
