Position Title Graduate Admissions Advisor, School of Management
The University at Buffalo School of Management is seeking a Graduate Admissions Advisor to support recruitment, admissions, and yield efforts for its graduate programs, guiding prospective students from initial inquiry through enrollment. This role plays a key part in engaging prospective students, managing outreach initiatives, and contributing to enrollment growth. Significant domestic and international travel is a core component of this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute recruitment strategies to support enrollment goals across assigned graduate program portfolios.
- Represent the School of Management at recruitment events, fairs, partner institutions, and professional conferences, both domestically and internationally.
- Build and maintain relationships with prospective students, families, agents, alumni, and partners.
- Provide personalized admissions advising through meetings, phone calls, and follow-up outreach.
- Support campus visits, recruitment events, and admitted student yield initiatives.
- Manage prospect and applicant activity within Slate, ensuring accurate tracking, timely communication, and consistent follow-up.
- Develop and oversee a graduate student ambassador program to enhance recruitment and engagement efforts.
- Analyze recruitment trends and contribute insights to improve strategy and outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including faculty, marketing, and student services, to support recruitment and enrollment initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, higher education or related field.
- Two (2) years relevant work experience in recruitment, admissions, enrollment, sales, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to travel extensively, including domestic and international travel.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience working with customer relationship management ( CRM ) systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree (e.g., MBA , Higher Education, or a related field).
- Experience in higher education student services, admissions, marketing, or communications.
- Experience using Slate Technolutions CRM or a similar system.
