Location: New York/LA/Orlando/Hybrid if goals can be met.
Work type: onsite, hybrid or remote negotiable pending on situation, the key is to enabling the Wholesale target.

The RoleWe are seeking an exceptionally networked and highly strategic Vice President of Wholesale & Retail Partnerships to lead our offline expansion strategy.
In this role, you will be the driving force behind our brands' physical retail presence. You will leverage your existing black book of relationships with Senior Buyers, DMMs, and GMMs at major department stores, specialty apparel chains, and premium retailers to secure prime shelf space, manage vendor negotiations, and drive sell-through performance.

Key Responsibilities1. Strategic Account Acquisition & Expansion
- Formulate and execute the North American brick-and-mortar wholesale strategy for our shapewear.
- Leverage existing relationships to secure physical shelf space in major department stores (Nordstrom, Macy’s, Bloomingdale's, Dillard’s, Target, etc.) and premium specialty retailers.
- Manage the end‑to‑end sales cycle, from pitch and assortment planning to buyer presentation, line reviews, and door expansion.
2. Buyer Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary executive contact for major department store buyers, merchandise managers, and retail partners.
- Schedule and lead high‑impact market meetings, buyer coffees, and showroom presentations.
- Nurture long‑term, mutually beneficial partnerships to ensure optimal floor placement and visual merchandising support.
3. Commercial & Business Operations
- Negotiate vendor agreements, terms, margins, markdown allowances, co‑op marketing budgets.
- Collaborate with internal design, supply chain, and inventory management teams to build seasonal assortments, forecast demand, and ensure timely production delivery.
- Monitor sell‑through rates, inventory turn, and channel profitability, adjusting replenishment strategies to maximize revenue.
- 10+ years of wholesale leadership experience in women’s apparel, intimate apparel, shapewear, or consumer lifestyle brands in the US market.
- Proven, current network of high‑level buyer contacts (DMM, GMM, Buyer level) across major US department stores and national retail chains.
- Track record of scaling wholesale revenue from initial retail distribution to multi‑million‑dollar door rollouts.
- Exceptional executive presence, interpersonal charm, negotiation skill, and closing capability.
- Willingness to travel for buyer meetings, trade shows (e.g., Coterie, Curve), and retail site visits as needed.
