About

The Role

We're looking for a data-driven and entrepreneurial Business Development Manager, Partnerships to grow our partnerships pipeline and expand our footprint across new and emerging digital channels. This role is focused on sourcing, pitching, and closing new partnerships that drive measurable customer acquisition growth — then owning those relationships strategically as they scale. This is an individual contributor role ideal for someone with 5-7 years of partnerships or business development experience who thrives on hunting down new opportunities, building trust with decision-makers, and closing deals.

Location

This role is based in our New York City office, located in the heart of the Penn District in Midtown Manhattan. Candidates who are able to work a hybrid schedule of 2–3 days per week in the office are strongly preferred, allowing for meaningful in-person collaboration with our growth, creative, and technology teams.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Build and manage a pipeline of prospective partners and non-traditional media opportunities, prioritizing based on fit against acquisition and business goals.
  • Lead outreach, pitching, and negotiation with prospective partners — owning the relationship from first conversation through signed agreement, onboarding and ongoing partner management.
  • Structure commercial terms and contracts in partnership with legal/finance, balancing partner economics with company goals.
  • Serve as the primary relationship owner for partners you bring on — the point of contact for the partnership, especially as it grows.
  • Partner closely with the performance marketing team, who support day-to-day activation, optimization, and performance tracking for live partnerships — ensuring continued alignment on performance goals and health.
  • Conduct market and competitive research to identify new partnership models, emerging channels, and trends that create acquisition opportunities.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and through your own network to build a strong deal pipeline.
  • Provide input into forecasting and pipeline contribution from new partnerships in collaboration with performance marketing and analytics.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to structure partnerships that are set up for long-term success.
  • Maintain a flexible, solutions-oriented mindset in a fast-paced environment, adapting to shifting priorities and new opportunities.
How You'll Measure Success
  • Volume and quality of new partnerships sourced and closed.
  • Customer acquisition growth driven by newly launched partnerships.
  • Speed and efficiency of the deal cycle, from first outreach to signed and launched.
  • Strength of ongoing partner relationships, measured by sales production and partner satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • Proven track record in business development, partnerships, or sales — sourcing, pitching, negotiating, and closing deals with external partners or decision-makers.
  • A sales-driven mindset with a deep understanding of pipeline, revenue impact, and how to prioritize opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with external stakeholders and decision-makers.
