Advertising Sales, Account Manager
This is a full-time onsite role in New York City. You'll need to already be based in NYC to be considered.
Gradient is where big ideas and big conversations come to life. Blueprint, our fireside chat series, returns monthly this September, sitting down with industry figures at venues like iHeart, Soho House, and Neue House to talk advertising and the worlds around it. Past conversations have spanned Deepak Chopra on mental health as creative fuel, Rich Tu on designing for FIFA NY/NJ, Bettina Garibaldi on breaking into sports, and the migration of talent from advertising into gaming.
About the Role
We're looking for a driven, entrepreneurial Head of Sponsorship Sales to own our sponsorship program end to end. This isn't just a sales job. From closing partners to shaping our sponsorship packages, language, and strategy, you'll build a brand new revenue stream from the ground up alongside a small, ambitious team.
What You’ll Do
- Own the sponsorship sales pipeline: discovery calls, pitch, negotiate, and close.
- Turn qualified interest into signed, lasting partnerships.
- Develop and refine the sponsorship materials and packages that win brands over.
- Be the go-to expert on Gradient's value, audience, and sponsor opportunities.
- Build sponsor relationships that come back season after season.
- Help us evolve our offerings in a fast-moving environment.
- Hit and exceed sales targets, and share in the upside through base plus commission.
What We’re Looking For
- Direct experience in advertising, media, or an advertising-adjacent industry. You know the space and speak its language.
- Proven experience in event sponsor ships, brand partnerships, or media and experiential sales, ideally with existing relationships among brand and agency marketers.
- A confident closer who can sell to senior brand and CMO-level buyers and build trust fast.
- A self-starter excited to help shape a new part of the business.
- An excellent communicator who can craft and deliver a compelling pitch.
- Someone comfortable wearing multiple hats on a small, agile team.
Compensation
- $90K–$100K base, $170K+ on-target earnings
- A full benefits package to keep you covered: health insurance, 401(k), paid holidays, vacation, sick days, and more.
- Real room to grow with an ambitious team building something new.
