About Pine Gap
Pine Gap (HQ: New York City) builds AI agents for Wall Street funds focused on fundamental equity investing — long/short hedge funds, long-only mutual funds, RIAs, and wealth managers.
Our co-founder Ankit spent 15 years as an analyst on Wall Street — seven at J.P. Morgan and eight at a long/short hedge fund — bringing direct domain expertise into the product.
We raised a $2.5M seed round in 2024 and have built strong momentum on Wall Street since, adding new clients consistently month over month. We recently closed an $8M Series A and are entering our next phase of growth. Investors include Stellaris, Z47 (DeVC), SVQuad, and Inventus Capital.
Today we're a team of ~25, including ex-J.P. Morgan analysts alongside engineers from the IITs.
The role
- You’ll own expansion across our buy-side accounts — hedge funds, mutual funds, and RIAs — building relationships with analysts, portfolio managers, Director of Research, CIOs and the data/vendor-management function, and growing each account from an initial land into a broader deployment.
- Own a named-account list of buy-side accounts — hedge funds, mutual funds, and RIAs ; drive new business by prospecting, qualifying, and closing six- and seven-figure net-new deals with senior and executive stakeholders
- Build and execute multi-threaded account plans, navigating procurement, infosec, and legal reviews typical of buy-side accounts — hedge funds, mutual funds, and RIAs
What we're looking for
- 12–15 years of sales experience, with a proven track record selling into buy-side funds
- A land-and-expand operator who thrives on high-velocity, relationship-driven, in-person selling
- Deep familiarity with the workflows and buyers inside hedge funds, mutual funds, and RIAs
- Background at a company selling into the buy side — e.g. Alpha Sense, Tegus, Third Bridge, Sentieo, Hebbia, Rogo, Bloomberg, Fact Set, Daloopa, GLG, or Guidepoint
- Demonstrated ability to run enterprise sales cycles end-to-end: multi-stakeholder discovery, executive-level value selling, POC management, and procurement/infosec/legal negotiation.
- Existing relationships across buy-side accounts — hedge funds, mutual funds, and RIAs
- Exceptional executive communication, credible with CIOs and heads of research, equally comfortable with analysts and technical evaluators.
