Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Finance & Insurance (F&I) Manager to join our growing independent used car dealership in New York. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, customer‑focused, and experienced in automotive financing, lender relationships, and F&I product sales. You will be responsible for helping customers secure financing while maximizing dealership profitability through finance and protection product sales.
Responsibilities- Structure and secure financing for vehicle purchases.
- Present financing options and F&I products professionally.
- Sell vehicle service contracts, GAP, tire & wheel, maintenance plans, and other protection products.
- Maintain strong relationships with banks, credit unions, and finance companies.
- Submit complete and accurate lender packages.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and lender regulations.
- Review contracts for accuracy before funding.
- Achieve monthly finance penetration, product penetration, and profitability goals.
- Work closely with the sales team to create an exceptional customer experience.
- Resolve funding issues and contract stipulations promptly.
- Maintain high CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) standards.
- Minimum 2 years of automotive F&I experience (used car dealership preferred).
- Strong knowledge of indirect lending and subprime financing.
- Experience with Dealer Center or similar platforms.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong understanding of compliance requirements and dealership documentation.
- Detail‑oriented and organized.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced sales environment.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Independent used car dealership experience.
- Existing relationships with multiple lenders.
- Bilingual (English/Chinese or English/Spanish) is a plus.
