Position Overview:

We are seeking a client-focused Key Account Manager to oversee a portfolio of key export accounts out of the Jamaica, NY office. This role sits at the intersection of client relationship management and export operations, ensuring high-value accounts receive consistent, proactive service while working closely with the operations team to guarantee smooth execution of export shipments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of key export accounts
• Partner closely with export operations teams to ensure shipments are executed accurately and on time
• Monitor account performance, service levels, and shipment status, proactively resolving issues before they escape
• Conduct regular business reviews with key clients to assess satisfaction and identify growth opportunities
• Ensure compliance with export documentation and regulatory requirements across managed accounts
• Coordinate with sales, pricing, and operations departments to support seamless service delivery
• Identify opportunities to expand service offerings within existing accounts
• Maintain accurate account records and reporting within the company's operating system

Key Skills &

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in export operations or account management within freight forwarding
• Strong understanding of export documentation, AES filing, and compliance requirements
• Experience with industry systems such as Cargo Wise, Magaya, or similar platforms
• Excellent relationship-building and client-facing communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to client service
