Role Description The Orthopedic Associate and Full Line Sales Representative is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, NY. This position is responsible for promoting and selling the full line of CONMED Foot & Ankle products to orthopedic surgeons, hospitals, and surgical centers. Daily activities include conducting product demonstrations in operating rooms and clinical settings, supporting surgeons and staff with technical product knowledge, and providing in-case support during procedures as needed.

The role involves managing a defined territory, developing strong relationships with key decision-makers, and identifying opportunities to grow revenue and market share. The representative also prepares sales proposals, maintains accurate records in CRM systems, participates in training sessions, and collaborates with internal teams to ensure exceptional customer service and post-sale support.
Qualifications

  • Strong orthopedic or medical device sales skills, including territory management, account development, and consultative selling.
  • Ability to understand and communicate clinical and technical product information, including surgical workflows and operating room protocols.
  • Effective relationship-building, networking, and customer service skills with surgeons, clinical staff, and supply chain stakeholders.
  • Solid organizational, time management, and follow-up skills to manage multiple accounts, cases, and priorities.
  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and negotiation abilities.
  • Comfort working in hospital and surgical environments, including supporting cases and adhering to all compliance and safety standards.
  • Proficiency with basic business software and CRM tools to document activities, forecast sales, and report territory performance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in sales or healthcare.
  • Previous experience in orthopedic, medical device, or healthcare sales is strongly preferred.
  • Willingness to travel within the territory, including occasional early-morning, evening, or weekend case support, as required.
