Executive Sales Consultant

Paychex seeks an Executive Sales Consultant to drive growth for our payroll, HR, and insurance solutions serving small and midsize businesses. In this client-facing role, you'll uncover needs, design tailored HR, payroll, benefits, and compliance packages, and close complex deals. You'll manage a territory, build a strong pipeline, and partner closely with implementation and service teams to ensure a seamless client experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive new sales of Paychex payroll, HR, and benefits solutions to small and midsize businesses in assigned territory
• Prospect, qualify, and build a pipeline through outreach, networking, and referrals
• Lead consultative sales meetings to assess client needs and recommend tailored finance and insurance solutions
• Prepare and deliver compelling product demonstrations and proposals to decision-makers
• Negotiate pricing and contract terms in alignment with company guidelines
• Collaborate with internal HR, benefits, and technology teams to ensure a smooth onboarding experience
• Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and sales activity reports
• Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue and activity targets
• Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive offerings
• Represent Paychex at client events, trade shows, and professional networking functions
