Client Relationship Management, Account Manager, Customer Success Management, Business Development
Location: New York City
Industry: Fintech / Capital Markets / OTC Derivatives / AI
Our client is a Series A fintech building an AI-native platform for capital markets.
Across the OTC derivatives lifecycle, from trade capture and confirmations through reconciliation, lifecycle events and settlement, many workflows still rely heavily on email, PDFs and manual processes.
The platform ingests trade data in any format, standardises it in real time and aligns counter parties at the point of trade, replacing fragmented workflows with intelligent automation and fully digitised, auditable infrastructure.
The company has already built strong traction with sophisticated financial institutions and is now scaling its distribution organisation following its Series A.
This is the company’s first dedicated Account Management hire, taking ownership of the installed client base and acting as the primary commercial point of contact across onboarding, implementation, adoption, renewals and expansion.
This is not a traditional customer success role. You’ll work directly with sophisticated capital-markets clients, Product and Engineering, helping clients realise value from the platform while identifying opportunities to deepen adoption and grow relationships.
What the role looks like- Own onboarding, implementation and client training for new customers
- Manage a book of existing institutional clients, initially focused on hedge funds and expanding into other segments over time
- Drive adoption, usage and client health across the installed base
- Run regular business reviews that demonstrate ROI and ensure clients are getting full value from the platform
- Own renewals and expansion within existing products
- Identify broader commercial opportunities and introduce Sales where a new buying decision is required
- Act as the primary commercial point of contact for clients and own issue escalation end-to-end
- Coordinate closely with Product and Engineering to resolve client issues and support successful deployments
- Act as the voice of the customer internally and feed structured insight into the product roadmap
- Turn successful customers into references, case studies and warm introductions
- Build disciplined account plans and stakeholder maps across each client
- Use AI tooling to monitor adoption, identify risk, prepare account reviews and surface expansion opportunities
- Experience in account management, client services, implementation, onboarding or customer success within capital markets technology, fintech, data or infrastructure
- Track record managing and growing enterprise client relationships
- Strong understanding of client adoption, retention, renewals and expansion
- Strong project-management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple client implementations and internal teams
- Credibility with sophisticated financial-market participants
- Comfortable working with banks, hedge funds, asset managers and/or asset owners
- Able to get up to speed quickly on complex capital-markets workflows and technical products
- Comfortable operating in an early-stage environment with limited structure and high ownership
- Strong communicator, highly organised and execution-focused
- Willingness to travel to client sites, including transatlantic travel
- Experience with OTC derivatives, enterprise fintech implementation or direct buy-side / sell-side experience is a strong plus
- Enthusiasm for using AI to improve client-management and GTM workflows
This is a foundational commercial role at a company with real institutional traction and a product solving a genuine operational problem across capital markets.
You’ll join at the point where the business is moving from founder-led client management toward a more scalable distribution organisation, giving you the opportunity to shape how it onboards, supports, retains and grows its customer base.
You’ll work directly with the COO/co-founder, Sales, Product and Engineering, with real ownership of client outcomes and meaningful influence over how the account‑management function develops.
For someone who enjoys being close to sophisticated clients, complex technology and product teams, but doesn’t want a pure new‑business sales role, it’s a particularly strong opportunity.
