Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Sales Trainee to learn and support sales of cement, aggregates, and concrete in a safety-first manufacturing environment. You'll receive structured training in products, pricing, and CRM tools while shadowing experienced sales professionals on customer visits, plant tours, and bid preparations. Working closely with operations and logistics, you'll help coordinate orders, resolve basic customer issues, and gather market insights.
This role offers hands-on experience, strong development opportunities, and a path to a full sales role in infrastructure and construction markets.
Responsibilities
- Support the sales team in promoting cement, aggregates, and concrete products to construction and infrastructure customers
- Assist with preparing quotes, proposals, and basic bid documents under supervision
- Learn product specifications, applications, and quality standards for manufacturing and building materials
- Participate in customer visits, plant tours, and ride-alongs with senior sales staff
- Track customer inquiries, orders, and follow-ups using CRM and internal systems
- Collaborate with operations, logistics, and customer service to ensure on-time, accurate deliveries
- Analyze basic market data, pricing, and customer feedback to support sales decisions
- Complete structured training on safety, sales processes, and company systems
