Event Account Executive – Planner

We are seeking a driven, client-focused Account Executive – Planner to lead corporate event opportunities from first inquiry through post-event wrap-up. In this full-time role, you will combine business development, client service, event planning, and project management to create exceptional experiences for corporate clients.

What You’ll Do
  • Qualify, cultivate, and manage inbound leads from multiple channels.
  • Build lasting relationships with corporate planners and prospective clients.
  • Lead discovery conversations, document client needs, and communicate requirements clearly to internal design and production teams.
  • Partner with designers to develop compelling, customized proposals and pitch presentations.
  • Manage corporate events from client kickoff through final walkthrough and post-event follow-up.
  • Create and maintain detailed event budgets, schedules, project plans, and milestone tracking.
  • Coordinate internal teams, vendors, rentals, floral partners, and other event stakeholders.
  • Negotiate contracts, rates, and agreements that support strong client partnerships and sound business outcomes.
  • Serve as the primary client contact throughout the planning process, proactively managing expectations and resolving issues.
  • Anticipate logistical needs, risks, and day-of-event considerations before they become obstacles.
  • Manage multiple proposals and active events simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Provide sales operations and administrative support related to business development activities.
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Three to five or more years of experience planning or project managing corporate events, conferences, or large-scale gatherings.
  • A demonstrated record of successfully delivering complex events from concept through execution.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • A client-first mindset, active listening skills, and a consistent drive to exceed expectations.
  • The ability to balance strategic sales activity with detailed project execution.
  • Confidence managing competing priorities, deadlines, budgets, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the event industry, particularly corporate or social event planning.
  • Working knowledge of event production, including vendor coordination, timelines, rentals, floral logistics, and on-site execution.
  • Ability to assess operational feasibility while developing a thoughtful, compelling client proposal.
