Sales Consultant

Ingersoll Auto of Pawling is seeking a Sales Consultant to help customers find the right new and pre-owned vehicles while delivering a transparent, customer-first experience. In this role, you'll greet and qualify customers, present vehicle features and benefits, conduct test drives, and guide buyers through pricing, trade-in, and financing options. You'll follow up with prospects, maintain accurate CRM records, and collaborate closely with the sales and service teams.

Responsibilities

• Greet and engage showroom and internet customers in a professional, friendly manner
• Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate new or pre-owned vehicles
• Present vehicle features, benefits, and pricing clearly and transparently
• Coordinate and conduct test drives while ensuring safety and compliance
• Explain financing, leasing, and warranty options in partnership with the finance team
• Negotiate terms within dealership guidelines to close sales and meet targets
• Accurately complete sales paperwork and maintain detailed CRM records
• Follow up with leads and past customers to build repeat and referral business
• Collaborate with service and parts teams to support a seamless customer experience
• Stay current on inventory, incentives, and industry product knowledge
