Reports to the CRO
Our client is a rapidly scaling, Series A technology company building an AI-powered platform for institutional capital markets
.
The technology enables regulated financial institutions to activate their own data and deploy intelligent capabilities inside their existing environments—without requiring them to replace the infrastructure and workflows they already rely on.
Now the company is expanding its New York institutional sales organization.
We're looking for an accomplished Institutional Sales Executive who understands how sophisticated capital-markets technology gets sold.
You know the buyers.
You understand the environment.
And most importantly, you can point to institutional accounts you personally opened and closed.
This Is a True Hunter Role
You won't inherit a mature territory and spend your time managing someone else's relationships.
You'll own a segment and the number attached to it.
You'll determine which firms deserve your attention, create the relationships, navigate sophisticated buying processes, and carry opportunities from first conversation through firm-wide deployment.
The company provides the technology, an experienced CRO, and infrastructure designed to remove much of the administrative work that slows sellers down.
You bring the judgment, relationships, institutional credibility, and close.
What You'll Own- Develop and execute a new-logo strategy across institutional capital markets
- Target hedge funds, banks, trading firms, asset managers, and other sophisticated financial institutions
- Personally open and close institutional accounts
- Build relationships with Portfolio Managers, COOs, CTOs, CISOs, and heads of business
- Navigate complex technical, commercial, security, and institutional buying processes
- Manage opportunities from first meeting through enterprise deployment
- Build relationships capable of developing into significant long-term accounts
- Bring market intelligence directly back to senior leadership
- Influence pricing, positioning, and packaging based on what you're hearing from buyers
- Partner strategically with the CRO when executive involvement moves a deal
- Independently run your business when it doesn't
You have 5+ years of experience selling technology into institutional finance and can identify meaningful accounts that you personally opened and closed.
We're more interested in what you've created than the logo on your résumé.
The strongest candidates will bring:
- Proven institutional new-logo production
- Relationships across hedge funds, banks, trading firms, asset managers, or adjacent institutional markets
- Experience selling sophisticated technical platforms
- Credibility with both financial and technology stakeholders
- Full-cycle ownership of complex sales
- Strong prospecting and hunting ability
- Executive presence and commercial judgment
The ability to succeed without extensive structure or hand-holding
We're particularly interested in sellers from capital-markets technology, institutional Fin Tech, and trading technology
.
Relevant experience may include:
- OMS / EMS platforms
- Execution-management technology
- Order-management technology
- Institutional trading systems
- Trading infrastructure
- Financial data and analytics
- Capital-markets platforms
- AI and data platforms sold into financial institutions
You don't have to come from one specific product category.
You do need to understand how sophisticated institutional financial organizations evaluate and buy technology.
Experience succeeding at an early-stage company where the sales playbook wasn't already written is especially…
