# Automotive Salesperson Generation Buick GMC - Bohemia, NY 11716## Overview Salary Range $75,000.00 - $ Base+Commission/year## Description As an Automotive Salesperson at Generation Buick GMC, part of the Generation Auto Group collection, you are the face of our dealership and play a key role in creating a positive and seamless car-buying experience for our customers. This position requires strong communication skills, product knowledge, and a customer-first mindset.

Your ability to build relationships, understand customer needs, and guide them through the sales process directly impacts customer satisfaction, dealership performance, and long-term loyalty.
** What You’ll Be Doing
** The primary functions of this role include, but are not limited to:
* Greet customers promptly and professionally, creating a welcoming dealership experience
* Identify customer needs and guide them through the vehicle selection process
* Present and demonstrate vehicle features, benefits, and technology
* Conduct test drives and explain vehicle performance and capabilities
* Build and maintain relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business
* Stay up to date on product knowledge, current inventory, and manufacturer programs
* Work closely with management and the finance team to structure and finalize deals
* Follow up with customers before and after the sale to ensure satisfaction
* Maintain accurate customer records and activities in the CRM system
* Meet or exceed individual and team sales goals
* Assist with showroom presentation, vehicle displays, and lot organization
* Handle customer inquiries, objections, and concerns in a professional manner

*** Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

* Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
* Strong customer service, sales, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to listen to customer needs, explain vehicle features and options, and confidently guide customers through the vehicle purchasing process.
* Comfortable using CRM systems, dealership technology, computers, tablets, and other digital sales tools.
* Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative, team-oriented sales environment.
* Goal-oriented with a strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven dealership environment.
* Professional appearance, attitude, and demeanor.
* Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, move throughout the showroom and dealership lot, and regularly enter and exit various vehicles throughout the workday.
* Ability to occasionally bend, reach, stoop, and lift or carry up to 25 pounds, as well as perform job duties indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions,
* Flexible availability, including evenings, Saturdays, Sundays, and other dealership operating hours as required.
* Previous automotive sales, retail sales, customer service, or other commission-based sales experience is preferred, but not required.
