About the Role:The Sales Internship is part of the Multi‑Media Sales Team of The Wall Street Journal | Barron’s Group. You will gain a basic understanding of all facets of media advertising and learn about our print & digital media sales process. You will get exposure to our sales techniques, multi‑platform and cross‑functional selling.
This role is hybrid, based in our New York City office.You Will:
- Support our strategic Next Market Cycle (NMC) initiatives via research (client earnings reports, Media Radar, proprietary studies)
- Perform reporting/analysis to increase revenue
- Support the sales activities of designated Client Partners
- Work with the sales team to develop solutions and partnership concepts and pricing
- Prepare and send proposals for presentations to clients
- Deliver excellent client support
- Provide timely communication and follow‑up with clients and internal departments
- Help with research for meetings and special projects
- Ensure that the sales team has the required sales materials and support information for sales calls and RFP responses
- Receive exposure to the entire pre & post sales cycle across all platforms and products and how they are used to meet the needs of our clients
- At least two years completed toward a Bachelor’s in Business, Finance, or Economics
- Strong interest in Finance or Data Science
- Familiarity with Google Sheets, Slides and other presentation platforms
- Organizational skills and focus on priorities that move the sales process forward
- Creative thinking and the ability to match marketer's goals with the unique, affluent audiences available through our media properties
- Enrollment in a 4‑year undergraduate degree program
- Graduating in Dec 2027 – July 2029 (U.S.)
- Does not require sponsorship for employment visa status (now or in the future) in the country where applying.
