Ride Advisor

La Bottega Pinarello New York is more than a bike shop. It is a destination for people who love road cycling, performance, design and exceptional service - whether they are buying their first serious road bike, preparing for their next event, or looking for the next improvement in their setup.

We are looking for a Rider Advisor who combines strong customer instincts with a genuine passion for the sport of road cycling.

You may already work within the cycling industry, or cycling may simply be a major part of your life outside work. Either way, we are looking for someone who rides regularly, follows the sport and can speak authentically with customers about the experience of being a cyclist.

As a Rider Advisor, you will be one of the faces of La Bottega. You will help customers discover Pinarello bikes, Q36.5 apparel, wheels, accessories, nutrition and the wider world of performance road cycling. Your role is not simply to sell products. It is to understand how someone rides, what they are trying to achieve and what will genuinely improve their experience on the bike.

You will work as part of one team across the entire store, supporting sales, events, rides, operations and the everyday details that create an exceptional retail experience.

• Welcome every customer and create a warm, engaging and professional experience
• Build relationships by asking questions, listening and understanding each rider's needs
• Recommend bikes, apparel, accessories and services confidently and honestly
• Develop deep knowledge of Pinarello, Q36.5 and our partner brands
• Talk naturally with customers about bikes, equipment, training, riding and the wider cycling world
• Support bike consultations, measurements, sizing and test rides
• Help customers understand different bike, component and setup options
• Maintain excellent visual merchandising and presentation standards
• Process sales accurately through the point-of-sale system
• Support stock replenishment, deliveries, inventory counts and general store operations
• Follow up with customers and help build long-term relationships
• Support community rides, launches, events and activations
• Work closely with the workshop and leadership team to provide a seamless customer journey
• Contribute ideas that improve the store, customer experience and wider La Bottega cycling community

Cycling is central to this role. We are looking for someone who:

• Is an avid cyclist with a strong passion for road cycling
• Rides regularly and understands cycling through personal experience
• Has either professional experience within the cycling industry or significant knowledge developed through cycling as a serious hobby
• Follows professional road cycling and has a genuine interest in racing, training, equipment and technology
• Enjoys talking about cycling and sharing that enthusiasm with others
• Has strong verbal and written communication skills
• Listens carefully, asks the right questions and explains products and recommendations clearly
• Is comfortable communicating with everyone from riders new to the sport to highly experienced cyclists
• Loves helping people and creating memorable experiences
• Is curious and continually wants to learn.
• Takes pride in presentation and attention to detail
• Is comfortable working towards sales and customer experience goals
• Enjoys being part of a collaborative team
• Is adaptable and willing to help wherever the business needs you

Experience helping customers select bikes, components, sizing or fit solutions would be especially valuable.
