Account Manager, Financial Sales, SaaS Sales
You have spent years holding onto accounts that were too big and too complicated to hand to anyone else. You know that protecting revenue inside a large financial institution is harder than winning it in the first place, and that the growth sits in the relationships nobody else in your business has bothered to build. This role is built entirely around that.
About the CompanyA global leader in financial crime prevention, compliance training and certification. Membership and certification led, and the credentials they issue are the ones most anti-money laundering and compliance professionals in banking already hold.
The RoleYou would own a portfolio of strategic enterprise relationships across North America. This is a growth and retention seat rather than a pure new business one. You protect the revenue that is already there, then expand it by widening who inside the account uses what.
You would sell membership, certification, professional education and technology into large financial institutions. It is a different motion to selling pure SaaS seats, and it rewards people who can hold a consultative conversation at senior level rather than run a transactional renewal cycle.
Retention alone is not the measure. The organization is looking for someone who can evidence expansion, land new stakeholders inside accounts they already hold, and drive adoption across a broader set of solutions than the account originally bought.
If you have run complex, high value strategic accounts inside financial services, AML, financial crime, risk or compliance, and you are comfortable in a room with senior stakeholders inside a large bank, this is worth a conversation either way before you rule it in or out.
What You Will Do- Own a portfolio of strategic enterprise accounts across North America
- Protect and grow existing revenue rather than manage renewals alone
- Build senior stakeholder relationships across multiple functions inside each account
- Drive adoption across membership, certification, professional education and technology
- Identify and land expansion opportunities inside accounts you already hold
- Build multi-year account plans and run them against a number
- Represent the organization with clients at industry and anti-financial crime events
- Enterprise account management within financial services, AML, financial crime, risk, compliance or an adjacent regulated market
- Ownership of complex, high value strategic accounts
- Demonstrable retention and expansion you can evidence, not renewals alone
- Confidence engaging senior stakeholders inside large financial institutions
- A consultative, relationship-led approach to account development
- Comfort selling a credential, a curriculum and a platform rather than a single product
- Track record of carrying and hitting a portfolio number
Candidates from certification bodies, membership organizations, professional education providers and compliance training businesses will be reviewed, as will account managers coming out of Reg Tech, financial crime analytics, screening, transaction monitoring or identity verification with genuine strategic account ownership. Sector has flex. Strategic account ownership does not.
What Changes- You sell a credential people want to hold rather than another platform
- You inherit relationships that already work instead of cold building a territory
- Your senior stakeholder network becomes the strategy rather than a line on your resume
- You own the full portfolio rather than a slice of somebody else's
- Growth is measured in expansion, not in how many renewals you defended
Competitive package depending on experience, plus variable. Full compensation detail, including the variable structure, provided on first call.
