ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
We are seeking a driven, luxury/lifestyle-minded Director of Sales & Marketing who can help elevate NH Collection Madison Avenue’s position within the highly competitive New York market. This leader must bring an entrepreneurial mindset—someone who creates demand rather than simply manages existing accounts, understands how to translate a distinctive hotel experience into a compelling commercial story, and can build meaningful relationships across corporate, consortia, luxury leisure, international and emerging market segments.
Equally important is the ability to think strategically, challenge convention, use data to drive decisions, and work in close partnership with Revenue and Operations to turn positioning into measurable market share and profitability. We need a confident, creative and hands-on commercial leader who sees the opportunity to help shape the North American flagship of a growing global brand—and is energized by building what comes next.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy to drive revenue across all market segments: corporate, leisure, group, and catering.
- Shape and communicate a distinctive luxury/lifestyle market position for the hotel, translating its New York identity, NH Collection brand promise, and guest experience into compelling commercial storytelling.
- Build demand through luxury travel advisors, consortia, international feeder markets, corporate and diplomatic relationships, and strategic partnerships across fashion, entertainment, culture, and lifestyle.
- Identify and develop new demand channels rather than relying solely on established account production, with clear accountability for market share, segment penetration, conversion, account production, and marketing ROI.
- Partner closely with Revenue Management and the General Manager as an integrated commercial leadership team, aligning sales, marketing, pricing, positioning, and profitability strategies.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key corporate accounts,…
