An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Director of Group Sales to support Rosewood Bermuda. This is a U.S.
-based position providing dedicated support to the Bermuda property.
The position is responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operations of the Group Sales team. In addition, provide management support to the Director of Sales & Marketing for the property.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Proactively manage, qualify, solicit, and develop both existing and prospective accounts within the assigned territory to achieve or exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, sales calls, client entertainment, written communication, site inspections, and relationship-building activities.
- Identify, source, and convert group sales opportunities within the designated geographic market in alignment with the hotel’s strategic plan, with a focus on maximizing group room revenue, total spend, and profitability.
- Develop and execute a well-defined sales action plan to drive room nights, group revenue, catering revenue, and incremental business during need periods.
- Maintain or exceed budgeted group sales, room revenue, room-night production, and profitability targets, while monitoring pace, conversion, production, and market share performance.
- Assist the Director of Sales & Marketing in leading the sales team, providing guidance, mentorship, coaching, and ongoing support to Group Sales colleagues.
- Conduct strategic sales calls and maintain regular contact with key accounts, travel partners, meeting planners, corporate clients, intermediaries, and industry contacts.
- Plan, customize, and conduct compelling site inspections for prospective clients, ensuring each experience reflects the hotel’s positioning, facilities, service standards, and destination offerings.
- Professionally represent Rosewood Bermuda at relevant community, destination, and industry organizations, events, trade shows, and networking opportunities—including SITE, airline partners, visitor and convention bureaus, professional associations, and destination management companies—to maximize exposure and business-development opportunities.
- Partner closely with Operations, Events, Catering, Revenue Management, Marketing, Finance, and other on-property teams to ensure clear communication, seamless group execution, and a consistently elevated client and guest experience.
- Ensure Rosewood service standards are consistently upheld by participating in and supporting regular training in accordance with the Rosewood training schedule, in collaboration with the property Training Manager.
Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of international degree in Hotel Management or Marketing and progressive work-related experience.
- Required to speak, read and write English.
- Minimum of 5 years hotel sales experience - luxury brand preferred.
- Strong communication skills
- Both verbal and written with the ability to identify and develop accounts
- Establish, monitor and achieve goals, motivate staff and maintain a cohesive team.
- Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, accounting programs, Microsoft Word, Excel, Opera, Amadeus/Delphi, Cvent, Passkey and Social Tables. Math skills, as well as budgetary analysis capabilities required.
This position is open to candidates based in Dallas, TX, New Jersey, or New York City. Compensation will be paid in U.S. Dollars.
