We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fish Cutter / Seafood Processor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing fresh fish and seafood products by de-scaling, gutting, boning, filleting, and cutting to specified portions. This role requires attention to detail, knife proficiency, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and product quality.
RoleAnd Responsibilities
- Clean, gut, scale, and debone various types of fish.
- Cut fish into appropriate portions according to company or customer specifications.
- Ensure the highest level of product quality and presentation standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation and surrounding areas, including equipment, storage, and prep spaces.
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures at all times.
- Assist with inventory, receiving, and storage of seafood products as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor.
- Proficiency in knife handling and filleting techniques.
- General knowledge of seafood types and preparation methods.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude toward teamwork and customer service.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods during scheduled shifts.
- Flexible availability including weekends, evenings, and holidays (minimum of 40 hours per week; 8–12 hours per day; 5–6 days per week).
- Must be physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs, and performing tasks that require bending, stooping, kneeling, and stair use.
- Ability to work efficiently and quickly, especially during peak business hours, to meet customer and operational demands.
