Position: People Research Scientist, People
Location: New York

For our client, we are seeking a People Research Scientist to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will advance people and talent initiatives that strengthen organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, and employee experience. You will collaborate with business leaders, HR partners, and cross‑functional stakeholders to align workforce priorities with business objectives. The position offers the opportunity to influence culture, talent strategy, and scalable people operations within a Pharmaceuticals & Biotech environment.

Location:

New York, NY (US only, no visa sponsorship for candidates). Compensation: $275,000 – $370,000 annually.

Responsibilities
  • Design and conduct systematic research studies on employee experience and organizational health.
  • Develop and test hypotheses regarding employee behavior and workforce outcomes.
  • Perform longitudinal studies to track workforce trends and initiative impacts.
  • Conduct meta‑analyses on industry practices to identify gaps and best practices.
  • Design and analyze engagement and pulse surveys while ensuring measurement reliability.
  • Translate research findings into actionable organizational recommendations.
  • Visualize complex research data for varied audience comprehension.
Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a relevant field such as I/O Psychology or Behavioral Science.
  • Experience in experimental design, hypothesis testing, and longitudinal research.
  • Proficient in SQL and Python/R, with statistical analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of survey design and psychometric methods.
  • Strong data visualization skills and effective communication abilities.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and balancing technical rigor with practicality.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders using data‑driven insights.
