Location: Setauket
Dormont Manufacturing Co, in partnership with the Hamlet of Setauket, offers a part-time paid internship for high school and college students in shellfish aquaculture. From July 1st through August 28th, students will work alongside professionals, gaining hands-on experience in raising oysters and enhancing water quality.
The role involves collecting monitoring data, assisting with system maintenance, and providing information to the public. Ideal candidates are Setauket residents currently enrolled in science programs and possess the ability to work outdoors under varying conditions.
