Missions In BriefThe associated activities for the position are as follows:
- You participate in the development and validation of models implemented in Symbiose based on knowledge acquired on the field, in literature (e.g. meta-analyses) or in the context of national and international model intercomparison exercises;
- You conduct studies on the transfer processes of radiological and chemical pollutants in terrestrial ecosystems (agricultural, forest and inhabited environments);
- You collaborate with the ASNR teams specifically in charge of research on dispersion in aquatic and atmospheric environments in order to integrate their work into Symbiose;
- You conduct studies in support of environmental analyses carried out in post-accidental situations (e.g. Chernobyl or Fukushima) and quantify the impact of decontamination or population protection actions on the doses received;
- You contribute to the development of modeling approaches allowing for a better integration of monitoring data in environmental analysis, in collaboration with the teams in charge of radiological surveillance in order to support the spatial and temporal representativeness of sampling plans and to estimate the influence of industrial releases on their environment;
- You collaborate with the ASNR teams in charge of evaluating and managing different radiological exposure situations, including nuclear or radiological crisis situations, particularly in the post-accidental phase;
You work with the providers in charge of the Third Party Application Maintenance of the Symbiose platform.
You hold a degree from a major engineering school (with 2 to 3 years of experience) and/or a doctorate in geosciences or applied physical sciences related to the environment.
You have in-depth knowledge and solid experience in modeling the transfer mechanisms of chemical or radioactive substances in terrestrial, aquatic or atmospheric environments.
You have advanced skills in programming and scientific computing.
