Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Student Intern. In this role, the successful candidate will complete a one‑year internship for graduate students interested in obtaining experience with translational research projects and human subject testing protocols.

Job Responsibilities
  • Recruitment – screens potential patients/subjects for eligibility to the study, gathering information from medical records, physician referral, advertisements, and scheduling visits; reviews screening elements with the Principal Investigator including inclusion/exclusion criteria, informed consent, documentation, and patient willingness to participate.
  • Judgment/Decision-Making – recognizes problems as they occur, applies appropriate policy/procedure, determines the appropriate solution, seeks guidance, asks appropriate questions, and advises relevant personnel of situations requiring intervention or follow‑up.
  • Communication/Relationship with Others – cooperates and communicates effectively with all levels of the Medical Center; listens carefully, responds appropriately, maintains confidentiality of research information; demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Assist in Developing Procedures – implements new procedures and protocols to support experiments; participates in recommending and implementing new or modified approved procedures.
  • Data Management – collects and audits information for the research project(s); abstracts data, prepares data, compares data, and prepares forms and reports.
  • Assist with implementation of project(s) to meet goals and objectives within the time frame and funding parameters.
  • Perform informed consent and data collection.
  • Assist in writing, preparation, and submission of manuscripts.
Minimum Qualifications

To qualify, you must have a Bachelor's degree.

Salary Transparency

Salary range: $17.00 - $17.00 hourly. Actual salaries depend on experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The listed range does not include bonuses or other compensation.
