The Skok Lab at NYU Grossman School of Medicine is seeking a senior computational scientist to lead single-molecule and 3D epigenomics analyses. The position focuses on developing pipelines and machine-learning models for Oxford Nanopore and Pac Bio long-read data (nano-NOMe-seq) and integrating these with Hi-C/Hi-CHIP and transcriptional datasets to explore chromatin topology, nucleosome organization, and gene regulation.
The successful candidate will receive an NYUGSOM faculty appointment as a non-tenure-track Assistant Professor, with opportunities for leadership and co-corresponding authorship.
Applicants should have:
- A PhD and extensive experience with long-read or single-molecule data
- Strong coding skills in Python/R
- A record of innovation in computational epigenomics and machine learning
