Psychiatry Description
The Department of Psychiatry is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full-time Senior Staff Associate I position. The successful candidate plays a vital role in ensuring that clinical trials are conducted ethically, safely, and in compliance with regulatory guidelines. Applies critical thinking and creative critical thinking skills across a wide variety of clinical studies. Develops processes, procedures, tools, and training to enhance clinical research activities.
Administers clinical and behavioral assessments, including MINI, SCIO, PANSS, AHRS, SAPS, CAPS, PSYRATS, C-SSRS, CGI, and safety/pain assessment scales.
- Assist with EEG and MRI data collection and be able to work with healthy controls, schizophrenia patients, and clinically high-risk research participants.
- May conduct quality assurance audits and is able to identify noncompliance concerns, assess cause, create corrective action plans, and implement independently under supervision from the Director of the division.
- Assisting and directing the team to prepare for external site monitoring visits; being responsible for the successful completion of audits and FDA reviews.
- Creating longitudinal projects on REDCap and generating instruments as necessary. Preparing for and coordinating clinical research trials (e.g. research database management, clinical trials.gov)
- Assist collaborative research groups and explain complex information to a variety of audiences. Contributing to the preparation of publications (manuscripts, funding proposals).
- Performs related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested.
