Biomedical Technician I (Traveling | Full‑Time)

Scientific Safety Alliance’s Biomedical Division specializes in the repair, preventative maintenance, and safety inspections of medical equipment across the United States. The Biomedical Technician I will install, troubleshoot, repair, and verify the performance of complex biomedical systems, serving as a technical advisor to clinical and administrative staff and evaluating new device acquisitions.

• Perform performance assurance (PA) inspections, scheduled maintenance, electrical safety inspections (ESI), and operation verification procedures (OVP) on highly complex biomedical equipment.
• Repair, install, and calibrate biomedical equipment.
• Inform supervisors of repair status, inspections, unusual equipment situations, and customer concerns.
• Manage subcontractor, vendor, and external technician activities to ensure proper service delivery.
• Maintain biomedical expertise through ongoing training and education.
• Lead Service Operations and Special Projects as assigned.
• Travel to client sites and collaborate with Central Office associates for special assignments.
• Ensure accuracy of the equipment database, including inventory, performance schedules, nomenclature, and service history.
• Adhere to the Medical Equipment Management Plan (MEMP) and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all service activities.
• Build and maintain customer relationships; discuss equipment status and functionality with clinicians.
• Ensure compliance with the Mission, Vision, and Values of the organization served.
• Perform periodic inspections of current inventory status and incoming inspections (II) to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Make recommendations regarding inventory.

• Minimum 1 year’s experience working with biomedical equipment in a clinical engineering environment.
• Complex computer skills: system administration, error code interpretation, hard‑drive defragmentation, power‑supply replacement, networking concepts.
• Ability to integrate information from multiple sources.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer‑service skills.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentational communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license; variable travel requirements; may require use of personal vehicle.

Associate degree in electronics, biomedical engineering, or a related field—or equivalent hands‑on experience.
