We are seeking a motivated and hands‑on Assistant Production Manager to join our team and develop the skills necessary to oversee our container and field‑growing operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone interested in horticulture, nursery production, and agricultural management to learn all aspects of a large‑scale growing operation and advance into a leadership role.
Responsibilities & Training- Overseeing and assisting with scheduling and daily production activities
- Planting, pruning, fertilizing, pest management, and irrigation of container‑grown trees and shrubs
- Field production and crop management
- Monitoring plant health and overall crop quality
- Overseeing equipment maintenance and coordinating repairs as needed
- Assisting with production forecasting and planning
- Maintaining accurate inventory and availability counts for the sales department
- Attending industry trade shows, educational seminars, and training programs
- Taking on increasing responsibility as knowledge and experience develop
- Previous experience in horticulture, nursery production, landscaping, agriculture, or a related field preferred
- Strong interest in plants, horticulture, and nursery operations
- Hands‑on, dependable, and willing to work outdoors in all seasons
- Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently while also being part of a team
- Strong communication skills
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a preferred.
- Candidates who are not currently proficient in Spanish must be willing and able to independently develop Spanish-language communication skills necessary to effectively communicate with members of the production team

- Salary: $65,000–$100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
