Research Compliance Coordinator

• Provide administrative and organizational support to the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC)
• Support compliance with NIH guidelines for research involving recombinant or synthetic nucleic acid molecules
• Serve as a general and technical assistance resource regarding IBC deadlines, meeting dates, registration/protocol status and updates
• Implement logistics for monthly IBC meetings, including agenda and meeting minutes preparation
• Train users in the IBC system and assist with website and system enhancements
• Follow up with principal investigators and reviewers to ensure timely reviews and responses
• Track user biosafety training and ensure completion by deadlines
• Assist with IBC protocol management, education and outreach
• Report to the Senior Manager, Research Compliance (IBC/ESCRO)

• Minimum 1-2 years related work experience
• Experience in research, regulatory or compliance environment is preferred
• Excellent communication, customer service and relationship building skills
• Strong time management, prioritization and computer skills
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and maintain strict confidentiality
• Effective communication and ability to build and maintain positive relationships with various stakeholders
• Ability to plan and prioritize multiple tasks to meet commitments aligned with departmental and organizational goals
• Flexibility to align with shifting demands and changing biosafety circumstances

Demonstrates expertise in administrative support and compliance within a biosafety context, with strong capabilities in communication, organization, and stakeholder engagement. Proficient in managing IBC protocols and training while ensuring adherence to NIH guidelines.
