As a Security Officer - Education Perimeter Patrols in New York, NY
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within an educational environment, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a welcoming presence for students, faculty, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and deliver outstanding customer service, all while embodying our values of agility, reliability, and teamwork in a caring culture that always puts people first.

• Provide customer service to clients, faculty, students, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents, maintaining detailed and accurate records as required by site protocols.
• Assist with access control, monitoring entry and exit points, and verifying identification as necessary for the location.
• Support in executing emergency response protocols and/or evacuation procedures when required.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and campus representatives to address security-related needs and provide a visible presence on the premises.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
