As a Security Officer - Office Park Rounds in New York, NY
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and service requests, document observations using a computer and/or tablet, and deliver helpful customer service with clear communication.

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior walkways, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor entrances, high-traffic areas, and point-of-sale lines to observe for suspicious behavior, loitering, and/or disruptive conduct, and promptly notify site leadership and/or law enforcement as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disorderly persons, alarms, and/or property damage, while following reporting and escalation protocols.
• Complete timely documentation such as incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift notes, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
