Security Officer - Hospital Entrance Screener

As a Security Officer - Hospital Entrance Screener in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a government healthcare location, you will greet visitors and staff, support entry screening and access control, and help maintain orderly flow during high‑traffic clinic activity. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help to deter security‑related incidents, and communicate clearly with patients, clinicians, and the public.

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site‑specific procedures and security‑related policies at a government healthcare location.
• Conduct entry screening of people and permitted items using established screening processes and equipment, requesting additional review when needed.
• Monitor entrances, waiting areas, and adjacent corridors to help to deter unauthorized access, and document security‑related activity per post orders.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas and the perimeter when assigned, noting hazards, unsecured doors, and unusual conditions and reporting them per procedure.

• Hospital vaccines are required.
• CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
