As a Security Officer - Unarmed Day Patrol in Brooklyn, NY
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a high-visibility government location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, remain present to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. You will document observations, support access control, and assist visitors and staff with professional customer service.

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of platforms, mezzanines, entrances, stairwells, elevators, employee areas, and perimeter spaces to help deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or operational concerns.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify identification and/or credentials as required, and report unauthorized entry attempts according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes, medical calls, and service disruptions, and request assistance from appropriate personnel as needed.
• Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and daily activity documentation, and communicate relevant observations to site management and/or public agency partners.

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
