• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established protocols for government locations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a professional presence and interact with visitors, staff, and/or members of the public in a courteous manner.
• Document all incidents, observations, and activities in daily reports as required by Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification, and granting entry as appropriate for a government facility.

• A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
