Learn more:  As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, support access control and badge checks, and assist with loss prevention efforts.

What You'll Do:
  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors, stock areas, receiving areas, and exterior perimeters to help deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and policy concerns.
  • Monitor customer and team member activity for potential policy violations, theft-related behaviors, and disturbances, and report observations per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including de‑escalation support, medical assistance requests, and coordination with local responders as needed.
  • Complete shift reports and incident documentation, communicate pertinent information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision, and assist with access control and guest directions as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Loss Prevention experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
