As an Unarmed Security Officer, you will be part of a highly trained security team that supports critical facilities and infrastructure, public venues requiring an enhanced presence and personal protective services. The role is integral to the broad spectrum of specialized security services Inter‑Con provides its clients daily.
Security Operations Center OperatorResponsibilities include monitoring CCTV feeds, access control points, investigating alarm points, supporting first responders, reporting incidents, maintaining radio communication, and performing emergency responses. Detailed duties are listed below.
Duties- Monitor CCTV system feeds.
- Monitor access control points.
- Investigate alarm points regarding access control, building management systems, vertical transportation systems, etc.
- Support first responders both in the Command Center and responding to events.
- Provide security and life‑safety incident information.
- Adhere to post order documents.
- Develop and disseminate tour and daily reports as directed.
- Familiarize themselves with all post orders.
- Report hazardous or nuisance conditions, accidents, medical needs, fires and unusual incidents within assigned areas of coverage.
- Maintain radio communication as required.
- Support PAPD and report any incidents.
- Maintain an activity log during the tour.
- Respond to and assist in situations involving fires, explosions, bomb threats, floods, crowd control, and other unspecified emergencies.
- Perform all other specific responsibilities and duties as required by the Manager.
- Experience in security operations is required.
- Experience working in a command center, operations center, or security command center is preferred.
- Strong understanding of security and building management systems.
- Strong understanding and experience using CCTV video management systems.
- Strong understanding and experience using access control systems.
- Ability to receive and disseminate information clearly.
- Support first responders as directed.
- Must be able to multi‑task and prioritize tasks.
- Must use computers and specialty security software.
- Must pass the National Dispatcher Selection Test (NDST).
