Summary
The Director of Asset Protection leads Bulgari North America's asset protection strategy to ensure the safety and security of retail boutiques, corporate offices, and company assets. This role manages complex investigations, drives proactive risk mitigation initiatives, and partners cross-functionally with Retail Operations, Internal Control, HR, Legal, and IT Security. The Director is accountable for achieving regional shrink goals, overseeing security technology and vendor selection, and supporting event and new store security planning.
Responsibilities- Direct and oversee internal and external investigations related to theft, fraud, and policy violations, ensuring timely resolution and appropriate action.
- Develop and implement regional asset protection strategy and programs to reduce shrink and enhance employee and customer safety.
- Oversee security and safety planning for regional brand events, including high-jewelry events, and support new store openings.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with local, regional, and national law enforcement agencies.
- Lead vendor selection, bidding, contract management, and implementation for security services, equipment, and technology solutions.
- Coordinate with IT Security on system access control, CCTV management, and compliance with technical standards.
- Develop, manage, and mentor an Asset Protection Analyst and deliver training programs for boutique teams.
- Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting on losses, recoveries, policy violations, and program effectiveness.
- 10+ years of experience in a similar retail luxury asset protection role; previous luxury retail experience required.
- Working knowledge of security and asset protection equipment and systems (CCTV, alarm systems, access control platforms).
- WZ Certification or CFI preferred.
- Experience with inventory analysis, project management, and security documentation techniques.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills; customer orientation and strong team working attitude.
- Ability to travel regionally as needed; fluency in English required, Spanish a plus.
