Security Officer Store Patrol Duty - New York, NYPosition Type: Part Time
Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour
Job Schedule: Daytime Friday 3:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Saturday 3:00 PM - 10:00 PM
What You’ll Do:- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities in a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and reporting observations according to site expectations.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, entrance areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, high-traffic areas, and merchandise zones for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or potential disruptions, while maintaining a professional presence.
- Support day-to-day retail operations by communicating with site contacts, assisting with crowd and line management, and following post instructions related to opening, closing, and special activity periods.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
