Position Type: Part Time
Pay Rate: $19.30 / Hour
Schedule:
- Friday: 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM
- Saturday: 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utility location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and credentials, and document visitor, vehicle, and contractor access in accordance with post orders and location requirements.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help identify potential concerns and report security‑related issues.
- Support screening and checkpoint operations, maintain accurate logs and reports, and follow established protocols for deliveries, keys, and restricted access areas.
- Possess 1+ years of security‑related experience.
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
