What You'll Do

Provide customer service by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access control activities, and emergency response support within a government location serving the public.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security‑related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, entrances, exits, and perimeter areas, noting unusual activity and maintenance‑related issues.
Monitor visitor, staff, and resident movement as directed by site policies, helping to support orderly operations and appropriate use of restricted or authorized areas.
Prepare routine reports on daily activities, incidents, and policy violations, and communicate professionally with the public, client representatives, and emergency personnel when needed.

Minimum Requirements

A New York State Security Guard License is required.
At least 6 months of security‑related experience is required.
Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
