This is a full-time, on-site security officer role for events based in Staten Island, NY
. The Security Guard will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by monitoring premises, conducting regular patrols, and controlling access to buildings and facilities. Daily tasks include verifying identification, responding to alarms and incidents, completing incident and activity reports, and coordinating with supervisors and law enforcement when needed. The role involves providing courteous customer service to visitors and clients, answering questions, and offering clear directions while enforcing site rules and regulations.
The Security Guard will also assist in emergency response procedures, follow all safety guidelines, and participate in ongoing training to maintain required certifications and skills.
- A valid NYS Security Guard's License
- Completion of 8-hour and 16-hour security certification courses
- An F04 fireguard certification
- Strong Interpersonal Skills and Customer Service abilities to communicate clearly, de-escalate conflicts, and support visitors, clients, and team members.
- Practical experience or training in physical security, including patrols, access control, and incident response.
- Knowledge of personnel security and private Security practices, including confidentiality, professional conduct, and adherence to site-specific protocols.
