Security Officer Patrol Access Coordinator in New York, NY

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security‑related incidents, and support access awareness throughout the site. In this people‑first role, you will deliver strong customer service, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and bring teamwork, integrity, agility, reliability, and innovation to each shift.

Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

Day / Time (Tue) 03:30 PM - 12:00 AM
Day / Time (Thu) 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM
Day / Time (Fri) 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM
Day / Time (Sat) 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM
- Provide customer service to visitors, patients, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a public healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through proper channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and public areas, verify authorized entry when required, and assist with directions, visitor screening, and other front-facing support duties.
- Support Allied Universal and site personnel during medical emergencies, evacuations, and/or other unusual events while following post orders and local protocols.
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
